Who’s your favorite Joker? Be detailed & give long sentances?
Nicholson actually LOOKS like the Joker, but he doesn't act or think like the Joker at all. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/27775/640763-joker1.jpg
Heath looks like Beetlejuice & is like the Pre-Batman RIP Joker that died-off in Batman 655 & was reborn as Sweeny Todd in Batman 663, not unlike the way the Riddler was reborn as a law-abiding detective after the Hush incident. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/27775/641788-beetlejoker.png
Romero was a good Silver Age Joker from back when the Joker was a harmless prankster. http://www.theclubhouse1.net/photo/albums/userpics/10001/cousjoker4.jpg
Mark Hamill is my favorite Joker on film: he did the voice for the Joker in ALL of the Batman cartoons in the 90s for about 10 years! http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/27775/633834-316455_153552_joker.jpg
Right now, I'm in-love with the new Sweeny Joker, crafted by Tony Daniel. He told me that with all the major events hapening in the DC Universe right now, that this makeover was permanent. Even if he goes back to wearing his old purple suit, the stitched-smile, bullet wound, greased-back hair, & bullet wound are here to stay. He's also more serious now & a hell of a lot scarier than he ever was. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/27775/612352-batman_r.i.p._joker.png
But I'll always live the goofy Modern-Age Joker from the comics who swept though humanity like a heavy boot on a broken glass bottle. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/27775/635812-fast_food_kills.png
I still have yet to see the ORIGINAL Joker; Gwynplaine from the movie "Tha Man who Laughs." He was the initial inspiration for the Joker. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/27775/639913-greaseback_joker_returns.jpg
No, he wasn't "litteraly" reborn as Sweeny Todd. I'm making the comparison becasue his personality & use of razors are similar, plus he treats Harley like Mrs. Lovett.
Woops, I mentioned the "bullet wound" wtice ^.^*
DAMN, I should have spellchecked it >.<
Oh yah, the Joker from "The Batman" cartoon is my least favorite. It's even easy to forget he or that show exist.
Just so you know, anyone who makes a comic book or cartoon reference, which tells me that you know more about the Joker than what you've seen on the big screen, is going to be the winner.
Dr. Yahoo is in the lead. His use of the word "campy" & the phrase "history was compromized" tells me he knows his shit.
Jack W is now in the lead, but where are all my comicbook homies at?

You, know I’ve noticed many people are just saying Heath. I think there have been other good Jokers.
Let’s start back with Ceasar Romero. Sure he was campy, but that’s how Joker was back in the 60’s.
Then there’s Jack Nicholson as the Joker. I hate it when people say he was campy because he wasn’t. Tim Burton made sure of that. He was a much darker version compared to Romero. He killed so many people ruthlessly, whether it be repeatedly shooting them, poisoning them, or electrocuting them with a killer joybuzzer.
Next is Mark Hamill, who has one of the best Joker voices ever, and possibly the best Joker laugh ever. He obviously couldn’t get away ith killing a ton of people like in movies, but despite this he did a great job. Who knew Luke Skywalker would make a great Joker!
Last is Heath Ledger, who deserves every shred of credit he’s given because he mixed the darkness and the humor so well. He definitely deserves an Oscar in my book.
The different Jokers were all correct for their medium and time.
Ceaser Romero-Campy for the 60’s
Jack Nicholson-Dark, and comic-book like.
Mark Hamill-Great voice, and the BTAS version was good for kids and adults.
Heath Ledger-Modernized, and made more realistic.

IMO Heath Ledger had this role down-pat, when I saw him on screen I didn’t see ‘that Aussie guy from Ten Things I Hate About You’…. I saw the Joker. Incredible performance, and he was unbelievably convincing as a socio-path.

Heath Ledger is mine. But I believe there wasn’t a best joker because in each movie, the actors were told to be different jokers. Jack was told to be funny, have lots of tricks, etc.
On the other hand, Nolan wanted Ledger’s to be mass murdering, psyco, etc. Which, that is how I always pictured the joker.
Both actors gave a stunning performence, but Heath is my way to go.

Well, TDK Joker was more set on the Arkham period so that’s my favorite. Nicholson was too campy and just wasn’t "crazy" enough- Ledger I believe nailed it though the history of the Joker was compromised.

I found Jack Nicholson good, but Heath Ledger was my favourite. Why? Because watching the movie, you forgot it was the same actor who starred alongside Mel Gibson in ‘The Patriot,’ and who took the lead in ‘A Knight’s Tale’. He basically ‘disappeared’ into the role, and ended the movie making you want more and more. He was fantastic.

I love Mark Hamill’s joker laugh but i though that heath ledger was the scariest and the coolest
