What do you think the chances of there being another Batman movie are?

The Dark Knight hands down is my favorite movie, Heath Ledger did a fantastic job, but after his death it was kind of a crushing blow to the hopes of there being a sequel. Personally i think that they could get Johnny Depp to be the joker b/c he always does a good job with weird characters or just not have the joker at all. What is your opinion on the matter?

I think the chances are excellent. After the box office performance of The Dark Knight, there’s no way Warner Brothers won’t be pushing for a follow up in one form or another. Christian Bale is signed up for another one, I believe, and Michael Caine seems enthusiastic about another installment

As to Christopher Nolan’s involvement, that is rather questionable.

The chances are fairly high there’ll be another one - they’ll just have a different villain.

Even if Ledger didn’t die the Joker probably wouldn’t have been in the third movie anyway.

I think that Christian Bale is still around, as is Gary Oldfield (oops!), etc. With as much money as "BM:TDK’ has made, why wouldn’t they make more money with another tired, worn-out comic book movie? It’s money in the bank, and that’s all that matters!

I see two Batman related projects on IMDbPro.

    #1: Justice League: Mortal (2011)
    #2: Untitled Batman Project (2011)
Filmmakers: Christopher Nolan - Director, Bob Kane - Writer (characters), Charles Roven - Producer, Emma Thomas - Producer more »

Christian Bale … Bruce Wayne/Batman (rumored)

    Morgan Freeman … Lucius Fox

    Gary Oldman … Commissioner Gordon

    Michael Caine … Alfred
