Joker costume hair. Wig or not?

I plan on being the Joker for Halloween(I know, planning pretty early,), but if I leave my hair to grow for the remaining 2 1/2 months, it will still be almost down to my earlobes, several inches shorter than the Joker's in The Dark Knight. I don't really like that, but my hair is exactly like Heath Ledger's and would be perfect at the right length. I also really don't like wigs and the costume ones are all so fake looking. In the best interest of the costume looking its best, do you think I should wear a wig or not?

You COULD scrap the joker idea altogether. There are going to be a million of them running around this halloween. Unless your face is startlingly similar to ledger’s, and you have $100 to use on silicone prosthetics (the only ones that won’t be dropping in everyone’s halloween pizza), I see no point in getting lost in the crowd. If you’re insistent on going as the joker, explore the possibility of cutting your existing hair and purchasing a human hair wig to wear over it. I recently saw some prestyled, precolored human hair wigs that were quite convincing on ebay, however the tousled, greasy green look can be achieved by running temporary dye and hair conditioner through a standard-color wig.

If you really don’t want to wear the wig, then my advice to you is to not wear it. Grow your hair out, and if your hair is still not long enough, try extensions. Maybe the Joker got a hair cut?

No wig. And make sure you don’t wash your hair for about a week before-hand to get that greasy look.

I think that you might have to use a wig because if you start to grow out your hair then it won’t be long enough. Plus it will look stupid.
    You also need green hair.
I know of soooo many people of being the joker…haha. It ridiculous.
