I haven’t read any Batman comic books before but I would like to start.
What are some key Batman comics, like ones that really tell you a lot about the history behind the characters, that I should start with?
Only ones that are still in stores please, no E-bay =)

Chrisitan Bale-Batman
The Riddler - I have two people I would want to see….Johnny Depp or Jim Carey
If they decided to bring the Joker back..Johnny Depp would be the best person to play the character
Catwoman- Sienna Miller or Angelina Jolie…
I def think Sienna Miller would make a great catwoman.
But Michelle Phiefer will always be the BEST [...]

I’m having trouble thinking of a very good list. These can be characters in any media, as long as their signature colour is purple.
So far, I’ve only thought of Darkwing Duck, the Joker (Batman), and Waluigi (Mario franchise). Who are some others? Thanks in advance!
