Batman Beyond mini series screwed?

There's going to be a Batman Beyond mini series in early 2010 stated by DC comics' co-producer Dan Didio. I'm just wondering, because in the DC animated universe, they skipped Jason Todd for being to violent for kids..So I was thinking if DC screwed themselves up, and won't be having a good story, such as Jason Todd returning in the series.

If you were expecting it to be a cartoon instead of a comic, it won’t be.

Batman Beyond is part of the DCAU, it’s Elseworlds. Even if the new comic series is part of continuity, It will focus on Terry, like the anime did. BB was also set in the future, when Bruce was really old.

I suspect that BB will have to bend to the current comics if it wants to be part of continuity, otherwise, it will be Elseworlds.

BB was set in the far futre when Bruce was old, but Bruce died earlier this year. According to Justice League Unlimited, Terry was biologicaly Bruce’s son, but Bruce has a son named Damien. Terry was supposed to become the new Batman, but Dick is instead. Barbara could walk, but she’s still in a wheelchair. The only way a crossover will work out is if Terry is from an alternate universe, like our current Jason Todd. Terry did pop in Crisis, so it’s plausible.
